Microsoft Access Training

Microsoft Access is a database management system that allows you to store and manage large amounts data, create custom reports, perform data analysis and more. We offer courses for beginner to advanced Access users, covering everything from the basics to VBA programming.

Microsoft Access Level 1

Students enrolled in this course will learn to identify the components of a database, open a table and find information stored in it, create and customize table designs, enter data and validate using input validation formulas, create relationships between tables to ensure data accuracy and deploy referential integrity. Other topics include creating forms for entering data into tables, creating, editing, running queries, creating, enhancing, and previewing reports, and importing/exporting data to and from various sources.

Microsoft Access Level 2

This course will take students further into the intermediate features of Access. Upon completion of this course students will understand inserting and deleting text into a document, enhancing tables by creating lookups, creating advanced forms by adding controls, subforms, calculations, and graphic images, and working with and creating web-based objects.

Microsoft Access Level 3

Students enrolled in this advanced level of Access will understand macro concepts, how to create, run, and test Access macros, how to create and use switchboard forms, establishing security, and running administration functions. Other topics include how to set Access defaults, apply startup options, and customize the navigation pane.

Microsoft Access VBA Programming

This course is designed for students with advanced Access skills who are new to Visual Basic programming. Topics and theories covered in this course include reasons for using VBA in Access, good coding habits, using variables, constants and data types, error handling, debugging code, using procedures, subroutines vs. functions, conversion, date, math, string, format and is functions, input and message boxes, logical programming commands, arrays, objects, and classes and instantiation. Other topics include working with forms, events, combo boxes, multi-select lists, text boxes, and sub forms.
